Need a Vacation? Quit Your Job!

I received an email last night from Maureen who had attended my book signing at the Savvy Traveler in Edmonds, WA in April. We had corresponded here and there after the event and she just wrote me with some amazing news.

She has an opportunity to travel to France and Belgium for a couple of weeks this summer. Well, IN two weeks, to be exact. She asked her boss for the time off and he told her “no”.

What’s a Wanderluster to do?

After 11.5 years at this job… she QUIT! Maureen, my dear, you have your priorities in order. Life is too short not to take advantage of a travel opportunity.

I am so excited for Maureen and will be seeing her next week at the workshop I’m teaching through the University of Washington Women’s Center.
